[TechAssist] Re: emerson vcr885 bad video "update"

Joe, the capstan motor could be bad & causing this (not
turning properly).  You seem to have checked everything else.

i checked sm caps and resistors on drum and capstan
board..all check
good...rf modulator and tuner are good.
thanks everyone for their suggestions so far..

this vcr came in with video looking like bad heads..scrambled
picture like
no sync..
i checked tape guides/back tension etc..changed heads no
change.. audio from tape is ok...E-E tuning ok..capstan belt
ok.. no change
at different speeds...
any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks joe
