[TechAssist] Re: add in techlist

Amen Pete, My motto has always been, "Share what you know, learn what
you don't", of course the latter only works if you actually share what
you know. It's been a few weeks since I stopped repairing electronics
and I'm happy then ever. I've been able to concentrate on my family and
my 10 month old son instead of my work. Before that most of my thoughts,
awake or asleep have been analyzing tough dogs in my head, it's been
that way for too long. I still do a minimal amount of repair work for my
family and church friends but that's it. God bless this awesome group of
technicians and God bless Doug & Jay for all the hard work they put in
to maintain this group. Thank you gentlemen!

Hi colleagues, happy sunday for all, time to take a brake, go to church
and pray for the union of this prestigious group of dedicated
technicians. Alone you are nothing, all together united, shadows on
this trail will be lighter. Help one to each other,.. do not do
others, what you do not want for you... As simple as that.
Be happy and enjoy the present, yesterday is history, tomorrow umm ???

Blessing to all

pete ( maybe the older one on the group).

Sorry Ed....I'm really bad about remembering people's names...I can
remember your house, your TV, but if you're Ed and I just fixed your TV
3 hours ago.....I wouldn't remember. I don't know if it's old age,
cigarettes or lack of contact, but it's something.....

[TV] is the PUBLICs forum...it is used by the public to talk to Real
Technicians.
Not always true. There are a lot of techs on there that talk between
other techs. It is there so they can get a sampling of what the actual
paid site would be like. There are some very good techs on it. And yet,
even it doesn't operate the way repair world does! Doug I'll sum it up
in a nutshell and you can believe this to be correct Look at your

[TechAssist] is the Original forum developed so Real Technicians can

Let's see if I understand correctly.
1. Any (qualified, meaning in the repair business) can join the A list
to send and receive posts.
2. Only paying members of TechAssist can use the B list.
3. At present, any post on the A list is duplicated on the B. At least
that was the case.
4. The A list (freelists) is public, as far as being searchable by
anybody. Anyone can posts TO that list, even if they are not a member.
i.e., Sajjad Siddiquie, below, whose only known association to this
repair field is an email address of "electronictech@..........com.
5. The B list (circuitwork) is private and can be accessed only by
members.
Maybe Jay or Doug can answer this. I want to be quite sure before the
vote.

Are you already a paying member of T/A? If you are just contact Jay and
he will give the email address. If not the dues is only $50.00 a year.
More then worth that just for the schematic downloads. There are many,
many, many benefits. Jerry
