A 9-1270 with a 9-1428 is a C8 chassis, I can't tell the model number
without the dash numbers after the module numbers. The only Sams that
covered the C8 chassis was 3482. Some of the 35" C8's were SR3547RK,
SR3587DK, SY3581DT. Beyond the things you have already changed would be
Q3204 and the 2 110K resistors off the base of that (Zenith always has
trouble with 110K resistors). Also CR2700, a 9.1v zener near IC2300. HTH,
John.

recommended parts, as per my previous post. The pin x-sistor (QX3201) was
not shorted, but changed it to be sure. Does anyone have a manual on this
unit? It is leaving me quite stumped. TIA
