I think this PTV has the convergence board mounted to the right side of the
chassis when you're at the back panel right??  Well, if so, check just
behind the output heat sink and see if there are some smoked resistors, if
so you have a shorted convergence amp, those resistors supply
 + and - V to the outputs. value of resistors is 1 ohm....or 10 ohm 1/2
watt. Sure wish I had one of those boards in front of me, but you should be
able to visually verify those resistors as toased. There's a total of 4 in
all, usually 1 or 2 may be toasted and directly linked to the defective IC.
