[TechAssist] Zenith Combo SR-1300S, no vertical


Unit came in with bad regulator in power supply.
After repairing this, set fired up with no vertical.
On pin one of vertical IC LA7834, I have 8.2v coming from a zener. The odd thing
is, as soon as I place my lead on test points, I see the required 12vdc for a
split second, then it drops to ~8.0vdc.
My 24vdc is OK.
I replaced the 1µf cap, checked value of all resistors and all caps, but can not
find any other problems. I adjusted the vertical p.o.t. with no help.
This unit was manufactured for Sears, so no help from Zenith.
What am I missing here?
