BOB Found g2 conection on crt board arcing to r5202 cut extra wire off
g2 wire,Replaced Q5402,03,04 and r5205 on crt pcb. Q2203,04,05, all at the
same time.
works good.

hi richard,
               when we have a Z line with this problem we replace Q2203  04
and 05 on main board.. we use NTE159 with no call backs...also check {3}
resistors on crt board  R5104  05 and 06..
               the ground path from crt board  to main chassis is thru pin2
of 5F2 plug and pin3 of 5C2 plug.  you also said it blows Q2205 [more then
once?] or it blew it once? the origional # on these transistors   2N3906 and
they all seem to go bad one by one.. so replace the three.... and yes it
could be the picture tube. but we have not found this the case on these
models.
