Bil,

Since you can still enter the OS, do a backup of needed files and then do a 
clean reinstall. The repair install from my experience may not fix properly 
went a file is missing before the repair attempt, it will not replace the 
file. (Example: taskmgr.exe} It seems to me that a certain tech named Bil 
repeatedly stated you should do a clean install.
