[TechAssist] Re: Vacuum tubes...

Hello Techs,

This tape player is a SONY
S500A,and my customer have already gave it away to me along with about 20
tapes from that era.

I want to fix this for my own and did some tracing and I suspected 6AU6 (2)
and 12AD7 (2) to be the likely problems...well there are inputs,no
outputs..so..but the filaments are lit...so they are still suspects....

I have been checking ebay and they still have tube testers up for auction
same with the tubes.

Another customer brought in a reel-to-reel Akai right after the
SONY and listened to the tapes my Sony customer gave...it is a very
wholesome experience listening to that eras' music.

Thanks to all who responded.I
think repairing this Sony will be worth it..
