[TechAssist] Using the Blue and White (drinking straw) Sony Anode Removal Tool

Does anyone know or have tried using those thin white and thick blue Sony
removal tools on those Hitachi flybacks in the 43fdx01b hdtv sets. You are
supposed to push and twist the anode lead without needing a tool to remove
but I have two stubborn ones. The one lead I managed to get out had the
little tabs bent over backwards and curled up. They break off if you try to
straighten. These look just like the Sony HV leads, but..I have never had
trouble with the Sony leads. The splitter must be a better design on the
Sony's. They always come right out and don't destroy the leads. I tried
using those Sony removal tools on this Hitachi but they just cracked. How do
you know when those you shaped cups are over the little tabs anyway way down
in the splitter. You can't see anything. Seems those tools could be made out
of something stronger than cheap drinking straw material. Suggestions?
