I downloaded the owner's manual from the US Toshiba website, but it says
nothing special about transferring the new settings to the EEPROM.
There must be a problem with my set, because the new customer
convergence settings are not being memorized by the set.

No...but you do have to transfer your new settings to the EPROM, before
turning it off.

I replaced the red yoke on this set and after setting the convergence
using  the customer convergence adjustments, I unplugged the set and
plugged it back in, and the convergence had to be redone again.  Does
the set have stay plugged in for a certain time to retain the new
settings?  TIA
