I finally got this one fixed.   I ordered the Microprocessor QA01 and it
still would not hold memory.  I went back to the original EEPROM and it
worked.  Apparently the EEPROM that I got was either a bad sub or defective.

To summarize:

Dead set after lightning.  Replaced
Q801
D875
F860
Q843
QA01
