[TechAssist] Thorens TD126II Turntable schematic

The page I mentioned has mostly instruction manuals but their are a few
service manuals (after looking closely at what I downloaded it was an
instruction manual) I did find a service manual to a TD145 and a gif file of
the base pwr cicuit for TD 125 that I uploaded to the members site sorry to
raise false hopes but I had a moment so I looked and uploaded before I read
carefully at first glace it looked usefull (there is a instruction manual
for the TD126 mkIII on that site -I could upload if intrested). That
turntable aparently has a mulipole dc motor at least the MK III. What have
you checked? Thorens were originally known for simplicity ( maybe its
mechanical?? or just looks). The first thing I'd check is to make shure that
the motor isn't shorted (ie if they used graphite bushings like some of the
old Hitachi RCA VCR belt drive capstand motors).
The best we can think of is Either A. The fuse is on the 240V line or 240V
rating (make shure it is setup for 110/120V 60HZ ie may need 1/4 A) B. Motor
frozen......make sure it is free or C. check for forign material/ old styli
floating in mechanism.
Thorens here are kindof a rare breed here, don't see too often sold one like
belt drive with simmilar setup like yours about 5+ years ago had to change
the Micro-Acosutics cartrage to something that the stylis was avalible and
the belt but everthing else was in good shape [held onto it for a number of
years when TT popularity was in decline of course now its up. That MKII was
only made in 1976-77 but sales online still go for a lot of $$ even without
the tone arm].

Hi,
I have a Thorens TD126II turntable here for repair that blows the internal
1/8 AMP SB
fuse. Motor will not turn but buttons light up briefly before fuse blows in
about 10 seconds.
Does anybody have any experience with this model, or have a schematic. I
went on google but
didn't see anything.
