I hope someone has seen this before..Between the multiple problems and waiting
for parts, I've had this
set for a few weeks.
Original problem was burnt green CRT..replaced.
Then set would come on, green got real bright and shut down. Replaced driver IC
IB01.
Then set would come on and stay on, but the horizontal was too wide, wouldn't
adjust and pincushion and
convergence was way off.
I later found DL032 with about 70 ohms across this diode. Replaced.
Now, set will try to start three times and shut down. Just for curiosity, I put
the bad diode back in and
set would fire up..with the last problem.
I replaced the DL032 with another new RCA part and is shutting down.
I put the old part back in, went into service menu to check the error codes.
I got 33(1):safety circuit is active; 56(2) Flash info of the HOP occurred;
81(1) Convergence IC does not
answer. I reset the codes, set geometry and convergence to factory default,
unplugged, restarted set and
no error codes with the old part.
I placed the new RCA diode in and back to trying to start.
I checked the circuit of DL032..not much on the anode, to ground, but they
checked OK and can find no bad
parts on the cathode.
Scoping the HOT, waveform is at about 2-3µs..and gets wider as the HV builds,
s/b 12.5. Checking the box
caps, they check OK..
With the old diode in, I have the same wave form, only steady and the set runs.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? TCE tech line was too busy and disconnected
me.
Thank you...
Jeff
