OK, thanks everyone. I was just over there a little bit ago. The fellow keps the set plugged in all the time, no cable, or sattellite box. The battery is the keep alive for the customer settings. The set defaulted back to factory settings when the battery dropped out. I had to reset it for cable, and reprogram the up/down memory, which I had done last year. I'm thinking that he has a bad ground connection in the system control circuit, or maybe one of the power supplies are running low, due to a bad capacitor. I didn't have time to test that theory tonight, though. I'm going to go back out after the first of the year. John Myers Myers TV Service Co. 2212 W.
