[TechAssist] Re: Sony VCR SLV-585HF Capstan Problem

With the exception of the first two Sony VHS models, which had Hitachi
decks, that problem is ALWAYS caused by a warped capstan bearing arbor. The
arbors are available as a seperate part. There are two different models of
arbor. If the rotor has damaged the stator windings badly, it might fail
before too long.
