I checked all the voltages that are labeled on the bottom and they are
all good includng the 30 volts.
I am leaning toward the tuner as Jeff S. mentioned. Thank you too Jeff.

Check the 30v supply to the tuner. 
Look for an open resistor if it's missing. It may come from a B+ source
rather than the flyback.

I don't do many Sony's so I am open for suggestions. Set comes on with
snowy picture and channel # 2 but picture is not channel 2. 
I know I will get some suggestion to trouble shoot it first but thats
difficult without a schematic.
