Brute Force (are you sure you are a technician Bob?)! Not to be sarcastic
but some of the G2 leads are soldered and some go into the CRT socket
housing. I just did one yesterday and had to use pliers to pull the focus
lead out. Most of the time I am lucky as I twist it slightly as I pull and
out she comes. Yesterday I was not so lucky and the end of the lead broke
off inside the socket so I had to unsolder the socket from the CRT PCB assy
and dismantle it to push the lead out with a fine point scribe. If this
happens, be sure to push the clip that holds the lead back into the proper
position so that it will properly grip the new lead tightly as it sucks to
have to take it apart again.
