This set has bright, negative picture and then gradually goes normal and then
a little darker than normal viewing level. CRT cathodes change gradually from
114volts to 185volts. Looks like jungle ic- its the flipping crt. Have
customer call Sony customer relations for extended crt warranty on this 21/2
year old set. Hope this helps, I did lots of searching before even
