To all who replied, Thankyou
It did turn out to be the resistor and diode (R587 open (1.5K
1/4 wt) and leaky of shorted D518 (NTE558).  I did some more digging around
and found some poor connections around the CRT socket and also in the
flyback area.  Again, Thanks to all who replied...
