[TechAssist] Re: Sony KV25XBR Video goes dark


In addition to the coments above and below (jungle ic, delay line, 200 v cap 
...) These sets can also short out under the anode cap (tube is split static 
focus) make shure the plastic between the elements hasen't started to ark 
thru as this can load the HV down. The old sony 15" and 19/20" sets would 
develop what alot of us in the shop would affectionatly call the "blob" 
which was a cap failure. Don't see too many of this early XBR series anymore 
the set is what about mid '80s. So jungle IC's were just starting to come in 
this set split a lot of the funtions up though.
