This is a 1998 model with Digital Service alignments. Actually 25% is
too high. I should have said about the last 10% that curls up, or 1
square of the cross-hatch pattern. I can adjust it out, but the
convergence gets screwed up worse elsewhere. I remember that the older
Hitachi's had one adjustment that would adjust just the tail of the
line. I forget what it was called.

Are these the Pot controls or the Digital Service alignments?? 25% is a
lot
of the picture and I suspect you have a couple pots maxxed if they are
pots.......
Or the digital control no longer adjusts....
Careful here.....but I think there's a way to turn off the convergence
board
for proper centering....I don't think it's [7 enter]...IF YOU PRESS
[7enter]
and it says INI......DON'T!!!
You will end up having to align all 3 tubes....just let it time
out....or
hit power.
There is a disable button, just not sure what the procedure
is.......Especially on the T series.....old enough to be a pot type, new
enough to be a digital type....
