My question is, how in the world is some other company able to set up a
production of a fake large scale integrated circuit? To even bother
doing it doesn't make a lot of sense, being it is such a specialized
part. Sure I can see it with transitors. They only have one PN junction.
They can also remark a transistor, but with a 64 pin chip, how can that
be possibly copied or remarked? I believe they all come out of the same
barrel and Sony is making a killing selling the part at 3 times the cost
of the generic, so until I learn otherwise, I'm not worried that the
generic is any different than the original. Heck, with all the originals
crapping out, they don't seem to be very good either.

This is just my own opinion. maybe some of you who have changed quite a
few of these have stories to claim differently but thats how I presently
see it.
