There is a part change for Q002 failure, P/N X-4954-896-1 will get you the new transistor and a wired socket, also change R011 from 1K to 470 ohms. We've done a couple of these and this may fix your problem but additional problems may exist, like no disk errors. ************************************************** Jim Myers Since 1972 Telrad Electronic Services Co. Unit turns on and has diplay lit but will not eject the CD. When you press open/close button you here a relay click but tray will not open and CD does not spin. It has 12v, 6.5v and 3.3 volt on the plug from power supply. Ic 903 in power supply gets real hot (I think its 903 but the last number is distorted ) and so does IC 607 on DVD board. any help on this would be appreciated, before I order a manual. P.S. I Just noticed that the display does not lite up until you press the open close button Thanks Phillip R Hull STET phil245@xxxxxxxxxxxxx FAX 517--569-3075 **************************************************************************** * The Tech Address Book: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/contact.html Add a Repair Tip Here, or Change/Remove your Email Address: http://www.tech-assist.org/secure/tip/main.htm Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Lost your Login Info?".
