[TechAssist] Re: Sony 1K Mod-anyone?

I dont know why it is being used as a general method, but several years ago
some servicers reported it as an effective method (at least temporarily) of
salvaging the Zenith crts that were developing shorts in the gun. The shorts
were caused by Dag flaking off the inside of the crt. Eventually the shorts
will come back. Good idea to transport the tv to the customers house with
the crt face down, collect cash.
