Hi Terry, it's a European version (NL stands for Netherlands), made in Spain. I don't have equipment to test LOPTs because I mostly have replacements handy (at least for the brands I sell myself). I'll see if i can find a replacement for this one and try. The crackling sounded very odd to me... kind regards, Stefaan Van Slycken Van Slycken Elektro Waasmunster, Belgium ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terry H." <tvdoc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, November 28, 2003 6:19 PM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: Sharp 70GF-66E LOT s/c Stefaan, European version or US, Sharp has a history of bad LOPTs. Do you have the ability to remove the transformer and 'ring' it for shorted windings? You might also backtrack to the horiz. driver transformer and check for ringed solder connections which can also cause LOT failure. Terry H. I have no schematic... any help would be great. > Stefaan Van Slycken > Van Slycken Elektro > Waasmunster, Belgium > > > **************************************************************************** * > Lost Password: > http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?". > Email Archives: > //www.freelists.org/archives/techassist/ > > [Scanned by AwesomeNet Anti-Virus] > > > [Scanned by AwesomeNet Anti-Virus] > > [Scanned by AwesomeNet Anti-Virus] **************************************************************************** * Lost Password: http://www.tech-assist.org and select "Login Problems?".
