[TA-A] Re: Service Menu

Jack, that was it. Another shop we do work for still subscribes to Sams. It 
has no mention of that VCR/DVD switch. The remote was in DVD mode and set to 
TV

What's unusual is the fact that even in DVD mode, the TV responds to the 
status, display and sleep commands. I would assume when switched to VCR, it 
enables the remote to transmit when both status and display are pressed.
