I made good money with my CM2125 Monitor analyser over the years, tho
primarily I'm a TV shop. I am for the most part the only properly
equipped monitor servicer in the county. Most of the TV shops may take
one in, and hope for the check out fee.Or a simple "vertical chip"
repair.
I kinda got talked into their HA2500 Horizontal Analyser. Expensive. But
with all the monitors I saw many with wierd HOT types that I had to
special order and wait, so if I could hook up the 2500 and load test the
flyback area I might save popping several $25.00 HOT's and a months
delay. Good but expensive at around 6 grand as I remember. I ring
yokes,smps transformers, flys,etc.(but the CM2125 rings,too) Makes some
estimates faster and cheaper to produce. The jury's still out on that
one.
I like my PR570 Powerite II variable isolation transformer. Digital
volt/amp display. That one I really use.
Seems mostly my 100 MHz scope (LG) dual trace and my Fluke meter makes
my salary.
I do need a good video display/ cross hatch gen. A tech I know uses the
Sencore VP300. Very nice for his service calls when a projo HD set has a
symptom that is only in HD mode, or doing an alignment/ convergence on
an HD he must align in "normal mode" then again in HD. Necessary
nowadays.
But God it's expensive.
Anyone have that VP300 or the newer VP301 with RF?
I'de like first hand critiques!
Used prices?
