I too, have had problems with the VA62, but always fixed them in-house
(after all, we ARE electronic technicians, are we not?). Besides I am too
cheap and too egotistical to let THEM repair it!
The Sencore scopes seemed too fixated to the TV repair business. We do a
variety of different repairs, so the flexibility of a general purpose scope
was a better bang for the buck.
You can buy alot of cheap scopes to populate each bench for the price of one
Sencore!
We get about ten years out of a cheap 20 mhz dual trace. which is great for
TV and audio.
However I tend to go for the pricier equipment on the 250 Mhz duals where
performance is more of an issue. I like Iwatsu, HP and Tektronix for those
applications.
Anybody using those new LCD mini-scopes??
If so, how do you like them?
