[TechAssist] Re: Sencore

Business has really fizzled. At one time, I remember sending out my
Sencore equipment (To Sencore), to have it checked and calibrated. Can't
afford to do that anymore. I just dust it off myself, periodically.
While on the subject of Sencore, their test equipment is quite
pricey, but I do have to give them credit, always had good Technical
Support, and customer relations.
        I remember on a Saturday, I needed a set-up for my CR70, which
was not in my book. Picked up the phone, dialed the 1-800-SENCORE
number, not expecting anyone to be there, sure enough, had my numbers in
no time flat.
So I guess you get what you pay for.
My biggest problem with Sencore, was I never learned to use it to it's
full capability, which is totally my fault.

We have to continue giving credit, where credit is due, and up
until the last time I needed something from them, they were always there
for me. Things may have changed, but next time will tell. Maybe the
Chinese got to them too.;-)

I've had my SC61 apart several times to solder bad connections. Right
now I
have another intermittent problem with it where the deflection becomes
offset to the right about half the screen. Whack it up side the head and
it
straightens out just like a bad mule. Someday I'll take it apart again.
Same
for my VA62, it comes on without any patterns, after awhile they come
in.
