[TechAssist] Re: Sanyo DS27930 - Dead, FIXED

Wow, a Sanyo with a bad H.O.T. and a bad Vertical chip and other discrete
parts. I have seen that before too on Sanyo's. I wonder why that brand blows
both the vertical and horizontal circuits at the same time when most all
other sets never blow both those circuits at the same time. What a piece of
junk. Have you tried those new Sanyo power supplies on the 19 thru 27" sets.
When Q602 blows it fails about 15 other parts. And you better stock all
originals or they will all blow again. Now they are making Plasma's. Boy
won't those be a expensive pieces of junk to fix. Bout as bad as those cheap
Samsung Plasmas and DLP's that Dan Marino is pushing. Samsung couldn't make
a decent analog PTV without leaking fluid, no color because of heavy standup
boards that cracked, and sorry convergence amps boards. Now, they are
pushing their crap everywhere.

Original Problem:
Sanyo DS27930 Dead set

Repair included:
Vertical IC IC501 LA7849
H.Out. Q402 2SD2645
R463 - 3.3 ohm, 2 w
R483 - 1 ohm, 1/2 w
D501 - 75 v. zener
D483 - subbed 1N4936
C487 1000 uf / 35 v.

This enabled TV to power on, but had sides bowed in and IC501 would run very
hot.

Replaced D461 - subbed with 1N4936

TV now works good again.

Subject: [TechAssist] Sanyo DS27930 need zener diode value

circuit off pin 2 of IC501 (LA7849). No print and writing on diode is so
small, can't make it out.
