Gaetan; fyi; Sams refers to the company that was
started by Howard W. Sams in , I believe, 1946.
They actually took products into their own labs and
measured the voltages and photographed scope
waveforms.
They also took actual pictures of the boards, both
top and bottom. Hence, the word "photofact".
The schematics were always drawn the same way.
One could expect the power supply in the lower
left, and the crt on the upper right. They were a
GREAT tool, but in recent years don't seem to "be
with the program".
Of course, they have been bought and sold a few
times. Stockholders don't care about quality.
