Subject: [TechAssist] SONY TV - KV-36FV1 Bad Colors on pix tube.

I have to go on a service call on this TV, the costumer says that the
colors
are bad, sounds like the degausing is bad on this TV, it could be as
simple
as resoldering the degausing thermistor.
My question is, and I have heard conflicting reports, could I use the
hand
held degausing coil to degause the pix tube, some servicers say that
could
damage the pix tube.
Thank you, Mark
