[TechAssist] Re: Repair Parts Taxable ?

That differs state to state, and it falls under USE tax. What is happening if 
YOU pay tax on a part, then charge the customer tax on the part with your 
markup, he ends up paying tax on a tax...double taxation...unconstitutional, 
that's also why they had to change the tax structure on sales tax on gasoline 
since quite a bit of the gasoline price is tax.  The factory buys materials the 
same way we do...wholesale... sales tax is only collected when the item is sold 
to a consumer...Ha back.
