[TechAssist] Re: Repair Parts Taxable ?

We are supposed to itemize the invoice and charge 5% tax on parts or
materials, nothing on the labor. They did not ask us to charge tax on
warranty parts but eventually they will get wise to that, as they have in
other States. Electricians, plumbers, construction contractors have the
"construction exemption". They pay sales tax at the materials purchase point
and do not have to itemize their invoice or put down any amount for tax.
