Larry, check your audio outputs first, some of them are nla, no sense putting hours into the set if the audio parts aren`t available. I have fixed OSD problem by replacing the eprom u3200, CR4709, C4401, any one of these 3 can cause the shift to the left, your standby B+ is too high so replace CR4101 & CR4106 (just replace them don`t check them) the fact you have to pull the audio plug of course means new caps and audio IC`s, I hope you gave this guy a high est. for this old set, good luck, Larry E Larry Eastman American TV & Electronics Crystal River, Fl. 34428 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Poffen" <lpoffen@xxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2005 10:43 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Rca CTC169BJ5 > This set came in dead & after replacing the caps & U4101 the set will come > on if I unplug the audio connector , but The OSD display is shifted to the > left so that only about 1/2 of the names (color, tint ect is visible) the > rest is off the screen.
