[TechAssist] Re: RERe: Canon ES4000 camcorder - wont load with tape in holder

Bet the RCA was also a Samsung! Am familiar with that fix and have used it a
couple of times successfully. Other times it was not successful or the unit
came back during our 90 day warranty period and we had to put in a new
motor, so I would not want to advise that fix to someone not willing to
gamble on the extra time involved or the recall possibility. If the fix isnt
satisfactory you have lost some time and if there is a recall you have to
buy the part and install it at your own expense, and you may have done the
repair at a bargain price. Also you have to adjust the spacing from the top
of the arbor as the washer underneath uses too much torque.
