I am working on a RCA PS35680 direct view with a CTC170R chassis made in
1993. I have repaired 2 problems and now have a good picture but the PS
output transistor runs hot. At one time someone had added a fan to keep the
PS output cooler but I would like to eliminate that if possible. I have
already replaced all electrolytics in the primary and several in the
secondary circuit. The output voltages are correct ecxept the +16v is a
little low. I have replaced the filters on that line. The PS output calls
for a 214640 and the one is the set is a 2SC3318. My main question is is
this a correct output for this set. It looks like it has been in there a
long time but this set has had a lot of work done to it. The PS output runs
around 170 degree F. TIA, John.
