Hello Jeff. I use hot blow gun to warm up the component I aim the gun at the Ic 801 . Then it turn on.I thought the ic is bad. But no the caps(10u at 50 volt and 100u@25) get the heat and works. So it is an experience . If you doublt the caps just heat it up or cool it down by freezer can,the cap 50% die just wake up and work .So the vcr is fixed Jeff Dang TVCR -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Dougherty <jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thursday, November 29, 2001 3:35 AM Subject: [TechAssist] Re: RCA vcr model VR 652 HF > >Dang, >No I don't have that IC..I gave you the part number..don't you have an RCA >distributor to order from? > >Jeff >mailto:Jeff@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx www.9-11-2001tragedy.com >FAX 1-413-280-0677 >Intrepid Video & Electronics >Harrisburg, PA 17111 >717-909-8844 >www.intrepid-video.com www.tech-repair.net www.thetoolcaddy.com >----- Original Message ----- >From: "tom lee" <t8872695@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Sent: Wednesday, November 28, 2001 8:41 AM >Subject: [TechAssist] Re: RCA vcr model VR 652 HF > > >> >> Hi Jeff. >> Now I have to change IC 801 TFK u4614B.
