Hello Jeff.
I use hot blow gun to warm up the component I aim the gun at the Ic 801 .
Then it turn on.I thought the ic is bad. But no the caps(10u at 50 volt and
100u@25) get the heat
and works. So it is an experience . If you doublt the caps just heat it up
or cool it down
by freezer can,the cap 50% die just wake up and work .So the vcr is fixed
