Discharging the Anode onto the G2 pin of the Picture,with the Focus
Pins Grounded and the Set OFF,removed the G2-to-G1 short inside the picture 
tube.
(if it didn't I was going to go Al's route :-))
The Flyback is fine,216v G2 voltage was perfect.
