Good evening...it's SNOWING in Penna!...
I am trying to do a repair on this RCA VCR VR503 (similar to VR501A, VR327,
VR603HF) and have already replaced the cassette in assy and it was returned
by the customer with the thing still skipping teeth when loading the
cassette. I have seen repair tips for this problem that say 'replace snapped
chassis lock on right side with p/n VVDS0017 . and... 'small white nub broken
off' rejplace with VVDS0017
i ordered one of these and rec'd a threaded piece with a nut.
Now I am not sure where it goes
i thought it was part of the brake slider underneath but apparently not.
Can anyone describe this repair?
Is it on the chassis deck itself? Where is the white nub or maybe i should
ask where was it?
