Not sure Jeff...It's a possibility. It's my own unit, so I'll wait till
I get another one in, and swap decks, to eliminate electronics over
mechanical.

Is this a Daewoo unit? If so, probably the idler is a little warped and
needs replaced.

OK...forget the Mode Switch, since it was not the problem. I had this
one running in the shop today. Ran OK. Put it back on my system in the
house. Same thing.

Have an intermittent problem with this unit. (My own unit). Periodically
this unit will go crazy. You insert a tape...Push Play..will play a
couple of seconds, then display says.."Bye" and shuts off. When you
re-apply power tape ejects. Seems to be OK on FF and Rew. I have
disassembled the mode switch, cleaned and lubed it. Worked OK for a
couple of sessions, then goes back to the same problem. This unit has
the Commercial Skip on it. Today I brought the unit into the shop, and
has been running for 3 hours, no problem. Any ideas?
