[TechAssist] RCA Tuner Problems

RCA Model GMR821TR. Owner complained of Random Burst of Sound. The tuner
did have many ring cracked solder connections where the cables connect. But
after I reinstalled the tuner, the set would not change channels. It would
not advance from channel 2 to channel 3 for cable etc. It was late and I
decided to leave it alone and return to take a fresh look at the tuner again.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Also, the solder connections around the walls of this tuner looked pretty
good. Should they be resoldered anyway?
Thanks
Alex
