[TechAssist] RCA P46813BL PTK195AA odd converg. problem

Hi Guys, this set was initially dead, main fuse, HOT & Flyback were changed and
set came up but now has
typical bowed convergence problem, customer claims set had no convergence
issues before set died. I checked
the Convergence pwr. supply board plug and the only voltage I had was the +24,
installed a rebuilt 250686
and the set came up with convergence still bowed, heres the odd part, If I go
into the cust. menu and pull up
convergence and choose red or green adjustment, the set does not go to a cross,
the entire screen goes black,
the audio quits, there is a soft click or pop in the speakers and then the set
pops back on with a perfectly
converged picture and good sound??? It`s like the entire set is turned off and
immediately back on but I don`t
hear the HV collapsing just that soft click. once it comes on with a good
pix/audio I can go into convergence
set-up and the cross is there and it is adjustable, set may go bad in 20
seconds or may run 20 minutes but
shutting off set for 5 minutes or trying to run for long periods of time will
cause convergence failure,
ANY IDEAS? worked on a lot of 195`s never seen or heard of anyone having this
problem, sorry for the long
