Walt,

I recently repaired one of these that had several out of the ordinary
problems, like it didn't work in HD mode or in Satilite mode. It worked over
the local antenna and sometimes shuts down. I didn't have the osd problem
you are having but who knows. Check C14113 and C14115. Usually if they are
bad the will have a noticable bulge on top. This is on the power supply to
the HD module, kindof looks like a vcr power supply.
