SMPS is working just fine, +B is 145VDC in standby. Replaced HOT, turned TV "ON" and heard two snaps then the HOT blew again. Could this snapping sound be an arcing flyback? Problem is test this problem, I really can't adjust the +B because it's a SMPS. If I could limit the +B I could then monitor the current, shutting down the +B before the HOT blows. Is there any other way to check if the flyback is bad, I don't have REAL flyback ringer, just my oscillator and scope.
