I've had one of those for about 30 years now Jim.
I made it out of a Zenith heat sink from about 1974, the first vertical
chassis.
I have a damper diode and a .47 resistor that I can clip in when needed,
too.

Destroying a cheap replacement HOT (2sc1172 on mine) sure beats losing one I
purchased special to fit.

Funny thing though, I think I've only killed it once in all those years.
