Joe,
What's the model number and suffix on the chassis? You should be including all
this information.
I never heard of the STK730-080 and can't find the rating for it.
Did you mean STK730-030?
What was the original REG?

I have a CTC187 that I replaced the chopper IC with an STK730-080
about a month ago. It came back with the STK shorted.
I assumed the 080 would be a better replacement, but this time
I put my thermometer on it and it is running too hot. My meter
over ranges at 150F so I do not know exactly how hot it was.
The set runs normally, B+ is 140.6
I added a CPU fan to test and the set has been running for several
hours.
Perhaps I just have a bad batch of STK's. I have been running into
several replacement horizontal outputs that run too hot.
Has anyone used the STK730-080 without problems?
