(Jim, please do not cross post). Pulsing on/off problems could be the yoke. I'd check the traces all around the buffer (Q2901) because this definitely sounds like a problem with Q2901, particularly between the B-E. May also be Q2706, U3100, Q3107, C3319, Q3102, Q4401, T4301 & L4001. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fax: 209-882-9602 TechAssist Administration http://tech-assist.org techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 4orpheus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx (alternates) orpheuscomputing@xxxxxxxxx pchardware@xxxxxxxxxxxx (PLEASE include previous correspondence if replying to this email!!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Myers" <jr.myers@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <techassist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: <tv-repair@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2001 2:34 PM Subject: [TechAssist] RCA CTC157 chassis, video and audio mute intermittent RCA CTC157 chassis, video and audio mute intermittent Replaced Q2901 but no change, problem starts after about a ten minute warm up, then it is just on and off at random. HV, filaments, vertical, etc all ok as well as OSD, just goes to a blank screen and no sound. Has anyone seen this? Thanks.
