Chaz, similar units have a problem with the traces around
D805 & D816, & resolder/replace the HOT and the HDT (horiz
drive xformer). Flyback may be bad or need resoldering.

Subject: [TechAssist] Quasar SP2530DE-1/chassis AEDC142 won't
power ON
This similar question was recent elsewhere for a different
make/model.
This unit came in with an original complaint of "relay
chattering" - quite
audible. Finally, it just quit coming on by remote or by
customer control
panel. Only noticeable function is that once POWER ON is
selected, you here
the relay engage - no startup voltage, nor POWER LED status.
I found relay contacts to be charred and replaced it. Same
result. I replaced
the surrounding caps and some diodes. Same result. I later
found some bad
solder joints. Again same result. Unless I have missed some
of the immediate
or adjacent circuitry, I am stumped.. or the unit is
determined NOT to let me
"rekindle its life".
Anyone have a schem or even a partial for the front end of
this unit I migh
obtain and/or some suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
Chaz
