take the lead going from flyback and remove it from the high voltage 
splitter. then place it an an emprty dry soda bottle   and try and see 
if the set turns on then. If so bad high voltage splitter. the set 
actually "cycles" when you plug it in, and if the splitter is bad, it 
won't even turn on
